Rains lash Himachal

Shimla, July 6 (IANS) The hills of Himachal Pradesh Tuesday experienced moderate to heavy rains, the weather office said.
“Most towns saw a moderate spell of rain but some areas experienced heavy rainfall,” Manmohan Singh, director of the meteorological office here, told IANS.
The air link between New Delhi and Himachal Pradesh was disrupted due to rains.
“Flights from Delhi to Kullu, Dharamsala and Shimla were interrupted. The flights are likely to resume Wednesday if the sky is clear,” an airport official said.
Kingfisher daily operates to Himachal Pradesh.
The monsoon reached the state Monday. The weatherman said rainy conditions will continue in the state till Wednesday.
