Shimla, Aug 10 (IANS) Several areas of Himachal Pradesh experienced heavy rainfall Sunday, with Dharamsala town in Kangra district being the wettest place in the state. Dharamsala recorded 54.6 mm rain while Bhuntar in Kullu district registered 40.5 mm rainfall.
Rains lashed Shimla and nearby tourist resorts like Kufri, Naldehra and Narkanda. The capital town recorded 8 mm rainfall.
The Met Office here predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in the state during the next 24 hours till Monday.
