Rains cool Delhi, more showers likely
August 17th, 2011 - 12:31 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 17 (IANS) It was yet another rainy start for the capital Wednesday with light showers in parts of the city. The minimum temperature was recorded at 24.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the average for the season.
“Total rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours is 16.9 mm. There is possibility of rain in the afternoon,” said an official from the India Meteorological Department.
“Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to stay around 31 and 25 degrees Celsius,” added the official.
Humidity was recorded at 93 percent.
Maximum temperature recorded Tuesday was 27.8 degrees Celsius while minimum was 25.1 degrees Celsius.
Total rainfall recorded this monsoon is 347.9 mm.
