Rainfall in Punjab, Haryana
February 13th, 2011 - 3:17 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Feb 13 (IANS) Parts of Punjab, Haryana and their joint capital Chandigarh saw light to moderate rainfall Sunday. Overcast conditions continue in most of the region.”Moderate to heavy rainfall lashed most parts of Amritsar and Ludhiana districts Saturday night. We also had rainfall in Chandigarh and in various other parts of Punjab and Haryana Sunday morning,” a Met official said here.
Similar conditions are expected till Monday, he said.
“We are also expecting a slight dip in mercury,” he added.
The centrally-administered city Chandigarh recorded a minimum temperature of 11 degrees Celsius.
Punjab’s Amritsar city recorded a low of 12 degrees. Ludhiana and Patiala cities settled at minimum temperatures of 14 and 15 degrees respectively.
In Haryana, the towns of Ambala, Karnal and Hisar recorded minimum temperatures of 13.2, 12.2 and 14.2 degrees respectively.
