New Delhi, Dec 15 (IANS) The national capital received the season’s first rainfall Tuesday and the weatherman predicted that the daytime temperature may drop in the coming days.
Delhi received 2.8 mm of rainfall Tuesday with the minimum temperature settling at 10.8 degrees Celsius, three notches above the average for this time of the season while the maximum was 23.5 degrees Celsius.

“There was a western disturbance passing over Jammu and Kashmir that has caused the sudden rainfall in Delhi. This will, however, last only for a day and skies would be clear Wednesday,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The daytime temperature is likely to drop in the coming days, he added.

Weather officials also forecast the possibility of fog Wednesday morning and predicted that the minimum temperature would settle at around nine degrees celsius and the maximum would be around 22 degrees.
