New Delhi, June 16 (IANS) Delhiites, who started their day with a cool breeze Tuesday, can expect a pleasant day ahead with the met office predicting rains.
“There will be partly cloudy sky towards the afternoon and evening. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers. With the rain cooling temperatures and wind velocity picking up Delhiites need not worry about the heat. Temperatures will stay cooler than average,” an official at the India Meteorological Department here told IANS.

The maximum temperature would hover around 38 degrees Celsius, two degrees below average, while the minimum would nearly be 26 degrees Celsius - four notches below average, the official informed.

“Western disturbances in the north in Jammu and Kashmir is the reason for the rain and thunders - unusual for this time of the year,” the official added.
