New Delhi, July 14 (IANS) As heavy rains lashed Mumbai Tuesday, Delhiites can also expect their share of the monsoon soon with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting “fairly widespread” rainfall in the capital and its nearby areas in the next two days.
“Current meteorological analysis indicate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall activity over Delhi and northern states during next 48 hours,” IMD director B.P. Yadav told IANS.

The humidity level was at 86 percent.

The IMD has also forecast very heavy rain at few places in Orissa, south Chhattisgarh, and north Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
