Pleasant weekend, rain expected Monday (Lead)
January 15th, 2012 - 9:41 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Jan 15 (IANS) Delhi witnessed a pleasant Sunday with the minimum temperature two notches above average at 9.5 degrees Celsius. The capital may witness showers Monday, the Met office said.
“The maximum temperature for the weekend was recorded at 25.6 degrees, five notches above average for this time of the season, the humidity wavered between a high and low of 90 and 40 percent,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
According to IMD, Monday is expected to be wet and cloudy.
“There will be shallow fog Monday morning and partly cloudy sky. There is possibility of rain and thundershowers during the evening or night,” the official added.
The mercury is likely to hover between 21 and 12 degrees Celsius Monday.
