Panic in Gujarat town as leopard enters house

Junagadh (Gujarat), June 23 (IANS) A leopard entered a house in Veraval in Gujarat Monday, triggering panic among the residents of the town. The animal entered the house of Rajabhai Chavda, a retired Gujarat Electricity Board official. One person sleeping in the house managed to escape. The house was then locked trapping the big cat inside.

News spread like wildfire and hundreds thronged the house to have a glimpse of the animal.

Nearly six hours later, the animal was tranquilised and taken to Sasan by a team of forest officials, where it has been kept under observation.
