Oregon Tornado Leaves A Trail Of Massive Destruction

9123844-largeDec 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The unexpected tornado that wrecked havoc in Aumsville, Oregon has resulted in widespread electricity outage in the region and the residents are at the receiving end as always. The customers of Pacific Power were affected by this outage and several thousand households have been affected. Apart from Aumsville, the residents of regions like Turner, Mill City and Lyons have also been affected. The severe storm uprooted a lot of polls and wires and Pacific Power sent repairing crews to assess the damage and restore services to the affected region. It is not known when the power will be restored completely. The company’s vice president of customer and community relations Pat Egan said in a press release that “Crews are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible”.

The Oregon residents were taken aback by the strength of the tornado that made a mess of the regions it had hit. Aumsville a small town with 3500 people were possibly the worst hit by the storm. The town wore a damaged look after the tornado had left. The roads and houses were full of debris. Some of the residents were awestruck and a lot of buildings including a church were badly damaged. The roofs of some houses were taken off and tossed in the air by the tornado. A number of residents said that they had never sen such a powerful tornado in their lifetime.

The Tornado luckily did not cause any casualty and serious injury at Aumsville. It is expected that the property damage is huge. After the Tornado had left, Red Cross opened a relief center for catering to the victims and the people who had been rendered homeless.
