No rains in store for Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 25 (IANS) It was a sunny morning in Delhi Saturday and the weatherman said there was little chance of rains though it might get partly cloudy as the day progresses.
“The sky will be partly cloudy but rains may not occur,” an official from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

No rainfall was recorded from Friday morning till 8.30 a.m. Saturday. The humidity levels continue to remain high with the maximum at 98 percent.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 33 degrees Celsius, a degree below the average while the minimum is likely to around 24 degree Celsius, a degree above average.

The national capital witnessed one of its wettest monsoons this year, resulting in heavy waterlogging and flood threats. The rainfall has so far crossed 1,031.5 mm, 63 percent above the seasonal average.
