New year begins on pleasant note for Delhiites
January 1st, 2012 - 12:48 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 1 (IANS) 2012 began on a pleasant note for Delhiites Sunday as the skies turned clear and the minimum temperature settled one notch above average at 8.4 degrees Celsius.
“The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 22 degrees,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official told IANS.
Visibility level which have been low for the past few days leading to disruption of road, rail and air traffic was 700 metres at 8.30 a.m.
On Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 6.8 and 23.3 degrees respectively.
