More snow in Himachal; Keylong freezes at minus 15.4 degrees
January 10th, 2011 - 2:11 pm ICT by IANSShimla, Jan 10 (IANS) The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh Monday experienced another spell of mild snowfall as Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district continued to remain the coldest in the state at minus 15.4 degrees Celsius, the weather office here said.”Higher reaches in the state saw light snowfall early Monday. Kalpa (a village in Kinnaur district) also experienced snow,” an official told IANS.
The entire state reeled under intense cold wave as the minimum temperature of Keylong fell by three degrees from that of the previous day Sunday.
Shimla recorded a low of 3.6 degrees while it was minus 4.9 degrees at Kalpa, minus 0.5 degrees at Bhuntar and 3.1 degrees at Dharamsala.
