New Delhi, Aug 28 (IANS) It was a cloudy morning in the national capital Tuesday, the day after a torrential downpour saw tens of thousands of commuters stranded and many areas waterlogged. The Met office has forecast more rains.

“The sky will be cloudy and one or two spells of rain are likely. Some parts may even witness heavy rains,” said an India Meteorological Department official.

A rainfall of 43.1 metres was recorded in the city since Monday evening.

While the minimum temperature stood a notch below average at 25.3 degrees Celsius, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 32 degrees Celsius. Humidity was 90 percent.

A heavy downpour Monday evening had turned several roads in the capital into virtual rivulets, causing massive traffic jams.
