More rains in store for Delhi MondayJune 15th, 2009 - 12:00 pm ICT by IANS
New Delhi, June 15 (IANS) Delhiites will continue to enjoy pleasant weather Monday with met officials predicting rain during the day.
The capital Monday recorded a minimum temperature of 26.5 degrees Celsius, two degrees below average. The temperature at 8:30 a.m. was 30 degrees Celsius.
“The capital is likely to witness hailstorm and rain later during the day that will bring down the day temperature. It is because of a cyclonic circulation over central Rajasthan,” said an official at the Safdarjung meteorological office.
The met officials have forecast partly cloudy skies with the maximum temperature hovering around 38 degrees Celsius.
Rain and thundershowers in the capital last weekend brought respite to the residents of Delhi from the sweltering heat.
The maximum temperature Sunday settled at 39.2 degrees Celsius, one notch below average.
