Misty, chilly morning in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 30 (IANS) Delhiites woke up to a misty and chilly Sunday morning, forcing many to wrap themselves in jackets and shawls. But the Met office forecast a warm day ahead.

The minimum temperature was recorded one notch below average at 15.3 degrees Celsius while the maximum was expected to hover around 30 degrees, an India Meteorological Department official said.

Humidity levels wavered between 86 and 36 percent.

“Skies will remain clear and the day will be quite warm. But by evening, a light veil of mist will envelop the city,” he said.

On Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 30.2 and 15.2 degrees respectively.
