Mild snowfall in parts of Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, Dec 15 (IANS) Popular tourist destination Kufri, just 20 km from this Himachal Pradesh capital, Tuesday received the season’s first mild snowfall.
“Kufri and its nearby areas received mild snowfall this (Tuesday) morning. This was the season’s first snowfall,” Manmohan Singh, director of the meteorological office in Shimla, told IANS.
Kufri, located 2,510 metres above sea level, is known as honeymooner’s paradise.
Singh said higher hills in Lahaul and Spiti, Chamba, Kinnaur and Kullu districts also experienced fresh snowfall.
