Mercury rising in Delhi (Lead)

New Delhi, March 13 (IANS) The week ended on a bright and warm note for Delhiites as the skies remained clear and the maximum temperature was a notch above average Sunday. The met office has predicted similar weather in the week ahead.

“The maximum temperature was recorded at 29.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum 13.2 degrees, which is two points below normal (average),” an official of the India Meteorological Department said.

The humidity levels swung between a high of 87 percent and a low of 27 percent, the IMD official added.

According to the IMD, warmer days are ahead for the city and the mercury is expected to rise gradually, with no forecast of rain.

“There will be light mist in the morning tomorrow (Monday) and the day would be pleasant and sunny. The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 31 and 14 degrees Celsius,” the official said.
