Mercury rises in Delhi, foggy day ahead
January 2nd, 2012 - 11:53 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 2 (IANS) It was a cloudy and pleasant Monday morning in the capital as the chill subsided and the minimum temperature rose to 11.6 degrees Celsius, five degrees above average. The Met office has forecast a foggy day ahead.
The Met office said cloudy conditions since Sunday night had led to the rise in temperature. “Clouds trap heat, so minimum was higher,” the IMD official said.
However, no rains are likely, he said. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 19 degrees.
