Bhubaneswar, March 28 (IANS) Normal life in Orissa was thrown out of gear with maximum temperatures in some areas Saturday crossing 40 degrees Celsius, officials said.
The industrial town of Talcher recorded 40.1 degrees Celsius, a Bhubaneswar meteorological office release said.
Maximum temperatures were also high in several other places, including in western part of the state.
Titilagarh, Sambalpur and Angul towns recorded 39.6, 39.5 and 39.1 degrees Celsius temperatures respectively, the office said. Several other places also recorded around 38 degrees Celsius, according to the release.
