Lioness kills forest guard in Mumbai national park
April 21st, 2010 - 12:15 am ICT by IANSMumbai, April 20 (IANS) A lion and a lioness escaped from their enclosure in the Sanjay Gandhi National Park here Tuesday evening and killed a forest guard, officials said.
The pair escaped due to the alleged negligence of the forest officers as they left the door of the enclosure open during the evening feeding time of the lions, an official said.
The lioness escaped first and killed the forest guard, he added.
