Light fog but sunny day ahead in Delhi
December 17th, 2010 - 11:56 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 17 (IANS) Delhi saw light fog Friday morning but the weatherman said the day ahead would be sunny and bright.”The early morning fog will clear up to make way for bright and sunny day,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told IANS.
The minimum temperature recorded was 7.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below the average for this time of the season.
Friday’s minimum was a degree more than that of Thursday’s low of 6.4 degrees Celsius, which was two degrees below normal.
The IMD official said the maximum is expected to settle at 24.5 degrees Celsius, two degrees more than Thursday.
The humidity was recorded at 97 percent.
The official said the temperature will fall in the national capital following snowfall in the Himalayas.
The coldest day of the season so far was Dec 11 with a minimum temperature of 6.2 degrees.
