Initiative to conserve flora, fauna launched
June 28th, 2011 - 10:12 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 28 (IANS) In an effort to conserve the country’s flora and fauna, the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB) has launched an initiative inviting volunteers to take part in the endeavour.
Friends of the Wild, as the initiative is called, invites volunteers from all walks of life to assist in natural surveillance, capacity building and awareness programmes to conserve wildlife and environment, an environment ministry statement said Tuesday.
The volunteers have to be above the age of 21, it added.
