Icy winds continue in Himachal
December 28th, 2009 - 12:53 pm ICT by IANSShimla, Dec 28 (IANS) Icy winds continued to make people shiver in Himachal Pradesh Monday, with the higher reaches of the Himalayas recording sub-zero temperatures.
This state capital saw a further decline in night temperature. It recorded a minimum of 2.3 degrees Celsius Monday morning, a decline of 0.4 degrees from Sunday, according to the weather bureau.
Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district and Kalpa in Kinnaur district recorded the minimum of minus 9.7 degrees Celsius and minus 5.4 degrees respectively.
Elsewhere, Bhuntar near Kullu and Sundernagar in Mandi district recorded a low of minus 0.4 degrees Celsius and 0.2 degrees respectively.
