South of Mexico, in the Pacific Ocean, Hurricane Jimena has recently taken ostensibly dangerous formations, reported the U.S.National Hurricane Center, and Danny transcended into a tropical depression heading for northeast of the U.S.East Coast. Danny’s maximum sustained force subdued to 35 miles per hour at 5pm, on Saturday.
Jimena was sighted at 270 miles south of Manzanilo (Mexico), slowly hurling at 12mph in the in west-northwest direction, raging to a maximum wind-strength of 105mph (169 kmh). Weather forecasters have clarified that the Category 2 hurricane (Saffir Simpson scale) is expected to get more aggressive by Sunday.
This is the second hurricane of the eastern Pacific season, the first being Andres which hit around June this year, killing a local fisherman, and inundating Acapulco, the coastline of Mexico. In North Carolina while storm watches were not being continued, the residents at the Eastern Seaboard were told to keep on their vigil.Along the Virginia line in North Carolina area,on Friday, a 12-year boy could not be located as the sea swirled agitatedly, and his surf board came back to the shore without him, reportedly. The Coast Guard discontinued his search at Friday evening when the child was not found.
“What the storm is doing is creating a particularly low undertow,” said a Coast Guard spokesman, Lt. j.g.Scott Hembrook who witnessed the waves dangerously getting 4-6 feet tall.
Another Tropical Storm Kevin that commenced as a tropical depression in the eastern Pacific is now at the southern tip of Baja California, reportedly. This wind too is hurling at a speed of 5mph at west-northwest direction, and was recorded as having maximum sustained speeds of 45 mph.
