Hot start to the week for Delhi

New Delhi, May 16 (IANS) Monday morning marked the start of another hot week in the Indian capital as the minimum temperature climbed up three degrees above average to settle at 27.7 degrees Celsius. The Met office has predicted hot winds blowing throughout the day.

“The skies would be clear and weather would remain dry with hot winds blowing,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 43 degrees.

Humidity was recorded at 44 percent at 8.30 a.m.

On Sunday, the minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded at 29.6 and 42.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
