Hot, humid morning in Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 7 (IANS) With rains eluding the capital and mercury rising, Delhiites began their weekend on a hot note Saturday. The weather office has predicted light showers in some parts of the city.
“The skies will generally remain cloudy. Light showers are predicted in some pockets of the city,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The minimum temperature was two notches above normal at 28.6 degrees Celsius. The maximum was expected to hover around 35 degrees, the official said.

The maximum humidity recorded was at a high of 91 percent and minimum at 56 percent.

The total recorded rain for this season till Saturday morning was 320 mm.
