Himachal to get more rain, snow

Shimla, Feb 23 (IANS) Cold conditions will aggravate in Himachal Pradesh with the weather office here Wednesday forecasting more rain and snowfall over the next four days.”There are chances of rainfall and snowfall in the state till Feb 26 as western disturbances would be active again in the region,” Meteorological Office director Manmohan Singh told IANS.
Some areas in the high hills would witness snowfall whereas the mid and low hills would experience rain or thundershowers, he added.
The minimum temperature in Shimla Wednesday was 5 degrees Celsius.
Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district remained the coldest place in the state with a low of 9.2 degrees Celsius below the frezing point.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district recorded a low of minus 1 degree, while it was minus 7.6 degrees at Bhuntar and 3.7 degrees at Dharamsala.
