Heat wave sizzles Orissa
March 31st, 2010 - 11:18 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, March 31 (IANS) Heat wave continued to grip several parts of Orissa Wednesday with maximum temperature crossing 42-degree Celsius mark in four towns, the weather office said.
Baripada and Sambalpur (42.5 degree Celsius each), Titilagarh (42.2 degree Celcius)) and Jharsuguda (42.4 degree Celsius), Talcher and Sundergarh (42 degree Celsius each), and Bolangir (41.8 degree Celsius), saw intense heat during the day time, an official of the Bhubaneswar meteorological centre told IANS.
