Foggy day, train services disrupted
January 5th, 2012 - 8:56 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 5 (IANS) The capital witnessed a cold day with rail services being disrupted due to dense fog in the morning. The met department has forecast rain later Friday after a foggy morning.
The fog reduced visibility to 100 meters in the morning, delaying 80 Delhi-bound trains.
According to a Northern Railway statement, 80 trains were delayed and over 15 were rescheduled.
While the minimum temperature settled two notches above average at 8.6 degrees, the humidity wavered between a high and low of 100 percent and 75 percent.
The maximum temperature was recorded at a below average 19.3 degrees.
According to the India Meteorological Department, the maximum and minimum temperature Friday is likely to hover around 20 and 12 degrees.
