The local officials have reportedly requested the Bay Area fire agencies to deploy “strike teams” comprising of as many as five engines, each having at least four fire fighters in order to battle the blaze which is seemingly posing to be a huge threat for the area with every passing day.

As far as the sources say, the blazing fire has reportedly destroyed as many as 57 homes in Southern California. So far mandatory evacuations have been ordered to as many as 12,000 people to move to safer places. According to an AP report: “Flames are plowing through half-century of old-thickets of tinder dry brush, bush and trees just 15 miles north of down town Los Angeles.

Fire fighters awaited day-break to learn the new extent of the six day old fire, which is now expected to burn for weeks. The blaze threatened some 12,000 homes but had already done its worst to the suburban Tujunga Canyon neighborhood, where residents returned to their wrecked homes.”

According to the latest reports, only 5 percent of the Station fire has been contained, which means that the blazing fire would continue to dominate for the next few days, thus damaging more property of the state. Arnold Schwarzenegger, the governor of California has reportedly asked the residents to constantly follow the instructions provided by the fire officials.

The governor also said that the three people who reportedly injured themselves during the ongoing menace was due to the fact that they did not pay any heed to the advice of the LA Fire department.
