Explore Ladakh, Sunderbans through the lens
July 20th, 2011 - 6:29 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 20 (IANS) Week-long photo-tours of Ladakh and the Sunderbans Tiger Reserve in August-September will give photography enthusiasts an opportunity to explore the country’s wilderness through the lens.
The tours, organised by wildlife photography organisation Nature Wanderers, will be headed by husband-wife duo Shivang Mehta and Kahini Ghosh, both nature enthusiasts, conservationists and wildlife photographers.
“Our photography tours and workshops give participants the opportunity to not only explore the scenic beauty of the location, but also capture the myriad wildlife in these beautiful locations in an unforgettable way,” Mehta said in a statement Wednesday.
The Ladakh photo tour Aug 24-31, will focus on landscape photography, monasteries and exotic high altitude Himalayan wildlife.
“The Sunderbans workshop too will revolve around landscape photography. Retreating monsoons and a stunning landscape makes the mangroves forest an apt landscape photography subject. In addition, birding around the delta is always special,” he added of the Sept 15-18 tour.
The participants will also be trained in the nuances of landscape photography during the tours.
