Earthquake of Magnitude 4.7 shakes Melbourne
March 6th, 2009 - 5:37 pm ICT by adminOn Friday, March 06, 2009 at 09:55:38 UTC (08:55:38 PM local time) an earthquake of magnitude 4.7 shook parts of Australia mainly Melbourne.
The epicenter of the quake was just 96 KM South East of Melbourne at a depth of 10 KM.
The tremours were felt by many people at Melbourne lasting for few seconds. People rushed out of their homes to the streets.
As of writing, there is no immediate report of any injuries of casualties.
