Delhi to swelter at 43 degrees
June 19th, 2010 - 11:38 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 19 (IANS) No respite is expected from the sweltering heat in Delhi Saturday as the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 43 degrees Celsius.
The capital recorded a minimum temperature of 27.8 degrees, a notch below normal for this time of the season.
“Skies will mainly be clear and the maximum temperature will be around 43 degrees Saturday,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The mercury is expected to rise further Sunday, the official said.
The maximum temperature touched 42 degrees Friday with humidity recorded at 64 percent.
