Delhi gets rain for second consecutive day (Lead)

New Delhi, June 11 (IANS) The Indian capital was lashed by rains for the second day in a row Thursday.
The capital received 0.1 mm rainfall around 5.30 p.m., bringing down temperature to 33.4 degrees Celsius, eight notches below the average, the weatherman said.

“There are possibilities of rainfall accompanied by thundershowers towards the night,” an official at the Safdarjung Meteorological Department told IANS.

The maximum temperature recorded was 40.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the average. The minimum temperature was 28.7 degrees Celsius.

The humidity level was 61 percent, five percent below Wednesday’s.
