Delhi fog delays over 50 trains
December 28th, 2011 - 12:38 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 28 (IANS) A thick layer of fog enveloped the capital Wednesday morning, affecting at least 51 trains. The Met office has forecast a clear and warm day ahead.
As many as 27 trains were cancelled and 24 were disrupted as fog reduced visibility to 200 metres in the morning.
“The minimum temperature was recorded at 5.2 degrees Celsius,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 22.3 degrees. Humidity wavered between a high of 97 and a low of 42 percent.
