Delhi experiences season’s coldest morning

New Delhi, Dec 14 (IANS) It was a chilly Wednesday for Delhiites as the city experienced the season’s coldest morning with the minimum temperature settling two notches below average at 6.4 degrees. The met office has forecast a chilly weekend.

“The maximum temperature was recorded at 22.4 degrees, a notch below average,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The humidity levels wavered between a high of 97 and a low of 24 percent.

According to IMD, the temperatures will dip further and a chilly weekend is in store for Delhiites.

“There will be light mist tomorrow (Thursday) morning but the day will remain clear and sunny,” the official said.

“The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 22 and 6 degrees Celsius,” added the official.

Tuesday’s maximum and minimum temperature was recorded at 23.1 degrees Celsius and 6.9 degrees, two notches below average.
