Cool morning in Delhi, hot day ahead

New Delhi, Oct 17 (IANS) It was a cool morning in the national capital Monday with the minimum temperature recorded two notches below average at 18.4 degrees Celsius. The met office has forecast a warm afternoon.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 67 percent, said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The skies will remain clear and sunny through the day and the temperature will rise in the afternoon, he said.

“The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 34 degrees,” added the official.

Sunday’s maximum temperature was a notch above average at 34.4 degrees while the minimum was a notch below average at 19 degrees.
