Cold wave eases its grip in Himachal
December 26th, 2009 - 7:25 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Shimla, Dec 26 (IANS) The cold wave eased its grip on Himachal Pradesh Saturday, with no fresh snowfall or rain, the Met office here said.
The minimum temperature in Shimla was recorded at 4.2 degrees Celsius, a rise from Friday’s 2.6 degrees. The town witnessed a sunny day.
Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district recorded a minimum of minus 11.4 degrees, up by 1.8 degrees, said the department in an official release.
Similarly, lower areas of Bhuntar, Mandi, Dharamsala and Una also recorded a slight rise in temperatures. These towns recorded minimum of 1.2, 2.5, 3.5 and 1.4 degrees respectively.
The Met department predicted sunny weather across the state in the next few days.
