Cold wave continues in parts of Orissa
January 29th, 2010 - 4:52 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, Jan 29 (IANS) Parts of Orissa continued to experience cold wave conditions with Phulbani town in Kandhamal district recording a minimum temperature of 7.6 degrees Celsius Friday, a weather department official said.
Low temperatures were also recorded in Bolangir (8.7 degrees Celsius), Sundergarh (9.4 degrees), Angul (9.6 degrees) and Jharsuguda (9.9).
Several other places recorded low minimum temperatures including Bhabanipatna (10.5 degrees Celsius), Baripada (10.6 degrees) and Sambalpur (11.5), the official said.
Cold wave conditions would continue in parts of interior Orissa till Sunday, he said.
No loss of life has been reported from any part of the state due to the cold wave, an official of the state revenue control room said.
