Cold persists in Odisha
January 14th, 2012 - 3:14 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, Jan 14 (IANS) A cold wave continued to sweep Odisha with the morning and night temperatures slipping to below normal for this time of the season, an official said Saturday.
Phulbani town in Kandhamal district recorded a minimum temperature of 5.4 degrees Celsius Friday night, the meteorological centre here said.
Similar low temperatures were recorded in Titilagarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bolangir, Sundergarh and Baripada districts. Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, however, were warm.
