Cloudy Tuesday in Delhi, rains in store

New Delhi, Sep 6 (IANS) The capital Tuesday woke up to overcast skies, with the Met department forecasting rain spells during the course of the day.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the total rainfall recorded over the past 24 hours was 22 mm.

“The skies will remain cloudy today with the possibility of more rain during the course of the day. The minimum temperature recorded early in the day was a notch below average, at 24.5 degrees Celsius,” an IMD official said.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 33 degrees Celsius.

The area between Dhaula Kuan to Naraina in south Delhi was jammed, said the Delhi Traffic Police.

The minimum temperature Monday was 25.4 degrees Celsius while the maximum was 32.4 degrees Celsius.
