Cloudy Sunday in Delhi (Lead)

New Delhi, June 3 (IANS) Having woken up to clear and sunny Sunday morning, the capital’s residents saw a cloudy day which brought respite from the blistering heat.

However, the maximum temperature was recorded two notches above average at 42.4 degrees Celsius.

The met office has forecast light rains Monday with a fall in temperature.

While the minimum temperature was 29.7 degrees Celsius - two notches above average, the humidity wavered between 46 and 27 percent.

“Thy sky will be cloudy Monday and light rain accompanied with squall is expected in some parts of the capital,” said an official of the Indian Meteorlogical Department.

The maximum and minimum temperatures Monday are expected to hover between 41 and 30 degrees Celsius.
