Cloudy skies, more rains this weekend (Lead)
July 23rd, 2010 - 8:23 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 23 (IANS) The weather will be pleasant in Delhi this weekend as cloudy skies and thundershowers are expected over the next two days, the weather office said Friday.
“The skies will be generally cloudy with thundershowers in some parts of the capital over the next two days,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 35 degrees Saturday while the minimum may be 27 degrees.
On Friday, the maximum temperature was 34.6 degree Celsius, the average for this time of the season. The minimum temperature was 27.6 degrees, one notch above average.
The maximum humidity level was 89 percent and the minimum 66 percent.
Traces of rain were recorded in Delhi Friday. The city has received 28.4 mm of rainfall since Tuesday, taking the total this season to 223.1 mm — 15 percent more than the average.
