Camila Bags Three Awards At The Latin Grammys 2010

rickyNov 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Las Vegas played host to the Latin Grammys 2010 this year and the night was as starry as it gets. Performing live at the prestigious awards night were Enrique Iglesias, Juan Luis Guerra and Latin music icon Marc Anthony. Earlier in the night Marc Anthony was flanked by his bombshell wife Jennifer Lopez. Mexican group Camila and Juan Luis Guerra were also among the biggest winners of the night, with three awards each.

It was also an emotional night for the fans of Argentinian icon Gustavo Cerati. The rocker who is presently in coma due to stroke earlier this year bagged some highly coveted awards at the Latin Grammys 2010 that included best rock album and song. Camila bagged the award for the best Pop Vocal Album, Duo or Group, the Song of the Year for ‘Mientes’ and also the Record of the Year for the same song. One surprise winner at the Latin Grammys this year was Nelly Furtado who won the Best Pop Vocal Album, Female for ‘Mi Plan’. Spain’s Alejandro Sanz bagged the award for the best pop vocal album, male for his album ‘Paraiso Express’.

The night also honored the Spanish opera legend Placido Domingo for his professional as well as philanthropic accomplishments. Juan Luis Guerra also bagged some prestigious awards on the big night that included the Album of the Year award for ‘A Son de Guerra’. The highlight of the evening was the performance by Enrique Iglesias who was later joined on stage by the reggaeton specialists Wisin and Yendel. He also sang his recent hit ‘I Like It’.
