May 18th, 2010 - 7:13 pm ICT by Pen Men At WorkMay 18, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): British Petroleum (BP) has uttered that it will never again endeavor to generate oil through a blown-out well that has been streaming into the Gulf of Mexico for almost a month.
The oil has been seeping out from the time of the detonation of an offshore drilling rig in the previous month. It subsequently went under the surface off the coastline of Louisiana.
BP has been attempting an assortment of procedures to drain off the oil ever since. One procedure at last commenced delivering positive results this week. However, it is still only seizing a portion of the oil.
The chief operating officer of BP PLC, Doug Suttles, has verbalized that the company in the future will never attempt to manufacture oil through the well. He has mentioned that the right thing to do now is cap the well permanently.
Nonetheless, BP did not exclude the probability of the company drilling in a different place to tap the same reservoir.
