Be prepared for a hot weekend, says met department

New Delhi, April 24 (IANS) Delhiites had to brave yet another scorching day Friday as the mercury level rose and hot winds swept across the capital.
Compared to Thursday’s 37.6 degree Celsius, Friday saw the maximum temperature rise to 38 degree Celsius. This was one degree above normal.

“The weekend will be equally hot. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 38 degree Celsius and it will be mainly clear skies,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The minimum temperature was also a notch above normal at 22.5 degree Celsius.
