Dec.31, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Nature’s wrath could be felt today in the southwest United States, as the Baja earthquake of 5.8 magnitude with its menacing footsteps played havoc in North California. Its hounding presence could be felt in the way buildings shook for a brief period, but no reports of severe damage was reported either in California or Mexico. The extent of the earthquake was felt till the Coachella valley. The people who were living on the City Hall Building in San Diego felt the tremors for about a few seconds. The catastrophe made the people evacuate the place in fear and panic.

In the Mexicali region, some damage has been caused as major fissures in the walls of the building and some structural damages could be traced out. Such a mammoth natural calamity was expected to result in the loss of lives, but people were relieved as there were no reports of such huge loss. The anticipation of the people that the deadly earthquake will uproot their habitat and such other fears were put to rest. Many victims who felt the tremors were concerned about the well-being of their loved ones and took to the social networking sites in order to find out the well being of their near and dear ones.

Predictions have been made before, that California will face such disastrous faith in 2010. It has been speculated that California will be struck by earthquake around eight times in the new year. The ominous prophecies has proved true at the fag end of the year and has unnerved people.
