Another hot day in store for Delhi

New Delhi, May 11 (IANS) There seems to be no respite from the scorching summer with weather officials forecasting another hot day in the capital Wednesday. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above average for this time of the season.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), skies would turn partly cloudy later during the day, but there is no forecast of rain.

“Hot winds will continue to blow in the capital with maximum temperature expected to settle around 43 degrees,” said an IMD official.

Humidity was recorded at 37 percent.

Delhiites sweltered under a blazing sun Tuesday with the maximum temperature rising three degrees above average at 42.2 degrees, while the minimum was recorded at 26.7 degrees.
