After rains, it’s back to humid Delhi (Lead)

New Delhi, Aug 20 (IANS) The pleasant weather due to sporadic rains in the capital was overtaken Friday by high levels of humidity and heat.
The rainfall recorded from 8.30 p.m. Thursday till 8.30 a.m. Friday was 110 mm and from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Friday was 10.3 mm.

According to an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there will be partly cloudy skies with possibility of rainshundershowers Saturday.

The met office said the maximum temperature dipped two notches below average at 31.7 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature remained normal at 26 degrees Celsius.

The humidity level oscillated between a high of 98 percent and a low of 79 percent.

The weatherman predicts that maximum temperature will rise in the capital Saturday to 33 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature is expected to settle at 26 degrees Celsius.

The city has received a total 585.3 mm of rainfall this monsoon.

According to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), there was only one complaint of water logging from INA market area Friday.
